Brandon Jamhal

From the womb it was known that Brandon had a call on his life.  Before entering this world, he kicked and thumped rhythms to various styles of music. On November 2, 1988, Brandon was born with doctors doubting he would survive. In spite of pneumonia attacking both Brandon and his God fearing mother, they both survived by the grace of God.

As a toddler Brandon seemed fascinated and captivated by soulful preaching.  He would come home on Sunday afternoons mimicking the preacher’s sermons as well as the songs that were sang by the congregation.  It was one of those Sunday afternoons, after listening to one of his playful sermons, that his mother was inspired to ask him to sing “Amazing Grace.”  He was a mere four years of age. At the age of five, Brandon performed his first concert at the Apostolic Christian Tabernacle in Alliance Ohio.

At eight years of age Brandon began performing with the Canton Children’s Chorus, which continued his vocal training and in addition exposed him to acting, opera, ballet, and piano. Brandon then began showing his love and concern for the community by performing for a great number of various events such as American Heart Association, NAACP Scholarship Programs, HIV/AIDS Benefits/Summa Health System. By the time Brandon was 14 years old, he had participated in so many events that he and his family begin to pursue greater challenges.

These new challenges included The Showtime at the Apollo Tour where he won first place.  That launched Brandon into a national stage that included the Gospel Dream competition held in Atlanta Georgia that was aired on B.E.T. that was hosted by Vicki Winans, Dr. Bobby Jones, and Tyler Perry.  Brandon begin to earn national honors and his awards included an outstanding youth award with Lebron James and receive a National Upward Bound Award at the University of Toledo.  Brandon continued his career by performing a stirring rendition of the National Anthem at sporting events such as the National Football League’s 2004 Hall of Fame Enshrinement ceremony and the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers Basketball home games.

Because God has been an intricate part of Brandon’s life, he decided to enroll in the “Training for Service” ministry training program  under the direction of Pastor Eugene Norris II, of the Mountain of the Lord Fellowship Akron Ohio. where he has expanded his gift of creative writing.  His creative writing has inspired him to create a new perspective on how to hear God’s voice and then communicate a fresh and renewing message to his peers.

Today Brandon is currently seeking opportunities to share the gift of song and word of God with the world
